Ruin that brick wall!
Project of the Month winner for October 2008

Spoiler for STORY:

-Creation of Esviore
When the all-creator created the world of Esviore, he decided to form 3 races after he filled the world with all its wonders. The first he made, was thought out in his mind – and it was created. The Oculus was what the all-creater called them. However, the race was unstable and could not be controlled, is is because of them that the world was since then filled in with various monsters and fiendish creatures – they summoned it – an act which made the Oculus banished from Esviore. The all-creator used nearly all of his energy to banish them, and at his last moments he made Man out of soil from the beach and Sahagin from sand. At  his last moments, the all-creator let out a tear which fell on the pile of sand the Sahagins was supposed to exist from – thus granting the Sahagins with the blessings of magic and aquatic capabilities. Then the all-creator was gone.
-Introduction

In a world called esviore, three races lived in constant struggle,  and through long lasting wars they finally reached a time of peace. The three races involved in the great wars are Man, beings who walk on the world’s skin, Sahagin, beings who roam the world’s blood and tear, and oculus, beings who watch and exist in the in-between. Through ages of constant death and destruction,, the civilization of both the humans and sahagins rapidly developed into advanced civilizations on both so- called worlds – all thanks to the conflict they faced for a very long time. Although they developed many aspects of their civilization, the rage of war between these two races still continues on until the oculus finally appeared to them – or rather sent them a sign – gave both of the races a solution on how to resolve their problem, by sealing each other on different worlds. Man was given the blessings of staying in esviore, while the sahagins were granted to continue to prosper in the deepest of the oceans – a place the humans will not be able to reach. Then there was a time of peace, one that lasts for hundreds of years.

-Esviorean  civilization
Esviorean people are known for their honesty, virtue and kindness, that leads the esvioreans to unite under one emperor – Emperor  Auger – and help each other out whenever needed. Most of the population today are young men , young women, and children, as the population growth in Esviore is constantly growing by the century. Total population of Esvioreans are estimated to be around 8 to 9 million and is about 50% of the population of the whole esviore. Technologically advanced, the esvioreans focus on development of technology rather than magic to solve their everyday problems and military needs. How ever, their technological superiority does not mean complete isolation of magic for the esvioreans as some groups of people are still connecting themselves with magic and even those that tries to find out how to use the best of both technology and magic to reach a better solution. Esviorean towns and settlements are spread all over the world, and often the humans are the pioneers of most towns and villages in esviore.

-Esviorean  history
The first esvioreans are known to be mighty warriors who sailed the dangerous and wide open seas to explore new lands and finding new opportunities of adventure and civilizations. Esviorean people used ships and galleons to travel between landmasses , using advanced construction methods and with an added pinch of imbued magic in the wood and material used of the vessel itself. However, sea travel during and even after the great war was relatively unsafe because the remnants of the monsters the sahagins released still roams the depths of the ocean and often targets warships and trade vessels alike. Some of these monsters became one of the many side-races that lives in Esviore, developing a civilization unique to their own, often living in isolated islands unknown to humans. After the war, these side-races seek refugee and eventually building their own towns and villages. Sahagins was a discreet race that lives in the deep depths of the ocean, a place unreachable to esvioreans.

  -The Oculus
“Those that exists in the in-between”
Oculus’ are quite unknown to all inhabitants of Esviore, and it’s because the Oculus lives in a different dimension where they observe the happenings in esviore through the ability of them of far-seeing and future-seeing. Some Esvioreans also possess this ability, but most of them can only  partially use them, one of these people are Gigs. Altough they exist in a different plane, occasionally some Oculus warped to Esviore and unable to return to their own dimension, they hide and disguise themselves as normal Esvioreans despite their otherworldly appearances.

The new screenshots look cool - I love the windowskin and the font also fits in perfectly. I might consider changing the system color as it might be too bright, but aside from that I think it looks great. Nice job Levent.

You don't need to change it in the scripts. You change it on the Windowskin.

Notice that I numbered the first 10. Obviously, there are 32 colours there, The numbers I use refer to that order, so column by column, row by row

01234567
89101112131415
1617181920212223
2425262728293031

So that being said:

Normal Colour - 0
System Colour - 16
Crisis Colour(low HP) - 17
Knockout Colour - 18
Gauge Back Colour - 19
HP Gauge Colour 1 - 20
HP Gauge Colour 2 - 21
MP Gauge Colour 1 - 22
MP Gauge Colour 2 - 23
Power Up Colour - 24
Power Down Colour - 25

So if you want to change the system colour, then all you need to do is change the colour of square 16.

In my own little world...
It was an awesome game. I really enjoyed the characters too.
But there are some bugs/errors.

I talked to this guy, and his portrait wouldn't go away.
He was in the port, the balled dude in green.

There are a few other things, like that dude who gives you a high potion. If you get to the right of him, then talk to him, he'll keep trying to move to the left.

I liked it - it was quite fun. I couldn't get past the trader though :(

Also, I thought it was strange that the town map looped. And there were a few errors in mapping. The ones I remember were in the pirate guild, you can walk on to the counter if you walk onto the papers that are there. There was also one with one of the ladders on town. You could walk on to it by walking off of the cliff next to it.

Gigs was level 99 as well, but I don't know if that was intentional or not.

Anyway, all that aside, I quite liked it. Nice work.

I'll fix the mapping errors, thanks for keeping up with the project and looking out for errors!
I really, really appreciate it. Thanks modern.

I actually forgot to lower Gigs' level, but it doesn't really affect the parameters for the actual ABS battle.

Thanks modern!
