So I've been thinking about remaking the rtp with my 8-frame template, but I've been wondering if people would actually find it useful. I have Actor 2-4 nearly done.
Here's the progress so far:

So yeah, does anyone think they would use this?

yuyu!

That looks so cute!! :gracie:

It would indeed be quite a task to embark on, but what's important is that you enjoy it. :] I certainly don't think that would hurt, since there's a ton of games out there that use the RTP characters. And...well, the basic RTP characters don't look nearly as good as your tall, smooth ones. ;o

PhoenixFire

You have no idea my happiness about this. I would totally use it, yeah!

Sophist

I think it's great. Even the simplest movement in frames adds a lot of depth to otherwise static sets.

かわいい! Really cute style :3

Do you have a base template we could use (male/female)?

Acolyte

I have the female one posted here. Still working on the male sheet.
Thanks for the encouragement guys. <3
Are there any specific actors you guys wanna see?

modern algebra

Those look pretty awesome Acolyte. It would be quite an undertaking, but I wish you the best.

I honestly don't know. I'd have to talk to someone over on the enterbrain site, and I'm not really fond of the way things are run over there.
As nice as it would be to get paid, the rpg maker community has been lacking in good free material.
