Hi, I'm trying to make a list of all the good completed rpg maker games out there, free and commercial. So if ya'll could tell me some of your favorite that would be very helpful :) I'm new and I hope this is in the right board but if not please move

Zylos

Well, we have our projects board full of stuff. As far as favorites, that's hard to choose. Do You Remember My Lullaby and Insanity stand out most in my mind, though the former isn't actually a game per se.

ladycalalily

Thanks, those are both new to me I'll have to check them out

Milespleasant

There are several great ones, and loads that haven't been finished, but look like they will be really good.

My favorite RPG Maker Vx games(RELEASED) :

1. Feral Dreams(By kelarly)
2. Tales of the Drunken Paladin(By Drunken Paladin)
3. White Trigger(Thomas1)
4. Soul Quest: Legend of Zaron(By Lentho)
5. Castle Oblivion 2(By kelarly)
6. Castle Oblivion(By kelarly)
7. Legionwood(By Dark Gaia)

Check them out! I promise that I got good taste for RMVX Games.

Zylos

You seem to have favoritism for kelarly and games I've not even seen on RMRK. But I doubt it matters since the girl hasn't been back on RMRK for almost a month.

Grafikal

I'm not afraid to say it, but I judge RM games immediately based on their graphics. That's the easiest way to determine if the creator has put any effort into their game, unless their point is to make a game look bad. I don't know of any of those games except for Legionwood and Drunken Paladin, so I'll look them up.

What kelarly's not a girl? Or what ya mean?

Moderation: combined the double post into one

Definetly look them up and I promise they're good. I know VX is the easiest program but you can get advanced into the project. I put alot of effort in my games and I'm using VX.

Zylos

There's no need to double post. And I meant the OP, ladycalalily.

Sorry, mister.

Man, do I feel old. Some of the best games I've played were developed with RM2K: Deceptive Choices, Flashpoint, Destiny's Call, Eternal Souls (which used my CBS), and also there was a series similar to Suikoden which was really solid.

Ryosis

Rolling with Tales of the Drunken Paladin on this one. If joy ever gets around to releasing Order of the Marten, I'll likely add it to my list.
Eddard Stark art by Teiiku

Acolyte

Yume Nikki. It's the whole reason I started using RPG Maker.

Arrow

Yume Nikki is a favorite of mine as well.

Legion Saga 1-3, pretty good games.

Exit Fate-> http://site.scfworks.com/?page_id=3  <- play this if you liked Legion Saga(or Suikoden)
and
The Way-> http://www.crestfallen.us/
are IMO the best RPG Maker games.

Good topic...

Theres the list and theres no order for it:

Legion Saga Trilogy
The Most Stupidiest Game Ever (The plot and the pop culture references are just..)
Crossbone
Tales of Fantasy World  (Its a brazilian game, mixes up good storytelling , well written script and well rounded characters with basic gameplay with RTP graphics)
Rygar Trilogy (Another good brazilian comedy game series)
Drunken Paladin ( my only complaint is that the game is VERY difficult...)

Since this topic has been necro'ed I will just jump into the conversation ^-^
Here are my most favorite RPG Maker Games, in descending order of course:

Master of the Wind: The reason I started RPG Maker again, and one huge of an inspiration for me. Great storyline, awesome dialogues, and most importantly superb gameplay. I've played many other RPG Maker games, but none has ever come close to the standard of Master of the Wind.
Though I must say, Master of the Wind isn't the best example when it comes to good mapping, but even a visual person as I am, I'm willing to look pass it because of its other qualities.

Memento Vivere (along with any other Rye's game xD): She's one of the most creative mappers I've seen and her stories are also very intriguing and unique :3 She always has a very nice atmosphere in her games, which also adds up a lot. Memento Vivere is also the one game that has been cancelled for years and I still keep the demo for nostagia and inspiration's sake ^-^

Other games which also deserve mention, they are in no particular order:
Cast Aside (along with any others Anamei games): Seriously, I can enjoy any Anamei games you throw at me :D
Twice Upon a Hero: Love the atmosphere, love it :3
Ethereal Dream: Another dead project :( But it was fun nevertheless
Sacred Earth: Skie and her insane games :( And my masochistic self for always go for her Unknown mode >_<
Order of the Marten: No demo yet, but looks very yummy so far. Definitely in the better tier of the recent VX projects I've seen around.

I support \\(>O<)b

1 month isn't necro. 2 months.
I'm definitely liking A Dust Tale and OOTM, and I think Lunarea's Twice Upon a Hero is going to be great. Bunny's Perchance to Dream also looks quite amazing.
I loved Sagitar's Prophecy and I died a little when I read it was canceled, but World's Dawn looks very promising.
Looking forward to all of these project's completions.
it's like a metaphor or something i don't know
