Fall From Eden

Dark_Metamorphosis, I was just listening to this, and if you don't already listen to Otep, I imagine that you'd probably like them.

To be frank, I've been listening to some of Halo's music from here.

A band that has been going on repeat alot since 2010, is one of my friend's band called Solitude:

They kick the genre in the nuts and show everyone how It's supposed to be!

Awesomeness? - Check!

If you hadn't said this was a different band, I would have thought Bullet for My Valentine released a new single.

Cool, thanks alot for the share! I'll make sure to check them out :)

Edit: They were really awesome!  :blizj:
I can't help but to get a little 'Guano Apes feeling' at some parts though (Parts of the vocals that is, and which is awesome).
Added them to my playlist now, thanks for the share!

I'm not sure if your comment is meant as something good or bad since I don't know how you feel about Bullet for My Valentine in the first place hehe (But hey, BFMV is pretty big so I take that as something positive) :)
But well, Ye I can agree that they resemble them a bit.. but nah, I can't say that they sound the same, especially if you listen to the rest of the songs. I do like BFMV, but these guys are nothing like them or Dead by April and yada, this is A LOT better in my opinion!

And I guess you meant the sound only right? If you didn't, I guess you watched the video with your eyes closed or something ;)
Can you feel that?..

They sound exactly like early BFMV to me, right down to the effects on the vocalist's voice.

I agree that the effects resemble that a bit, but still I don't think the sound is excactly like BFMV. I would say they resemble In flames way more, than BFMV. Still, they are a metalcore band so It's not a surprise that they sound similar to BFMV for that matther. But, I still think they are bit more kick-ass, and have a deeper and harder sound aswell as better vocals. I have to agree that Hand of Blood sounds more like Solitude in this particular song ('Under fading skies'), but in general I don't think they resemble eachother to that grade, just my opinion though :)

After seeing those Cletic Circle links, I couldn't resist to share some of this:

[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKQwgpaLR6o[/yt]

When I was younger I used to fall asleep to this kind of music because I had a hard time falling asleep xd
I still listen to it and this is certainly my favourite song with her.. It's just one of a kind.

Also, I usually have a season when I spam Flogging Molly, and that season is slowly rising up again. The first words that comes in mind when I hear them is the summer-time and festivals.. so I guess I'm looking forward to the summer now:

After seeing them live I fell in love on the first tune, so many memories from this lovely band <3
Can you feel that?..

Going back to high school. (Glad I still have this CD, actually -- it's getting pretty hard to find these days. :()

I really didn't like "pumped up kicks" at all, but the rest of their album was actually pretty sweet. And I just found this video, which is shockingly well-produced.

Did you know they make all their music in Logic Pro? lol I do too

:tinysmile::tinysmile:

Dwarra?

The Killers were great until they started using Logic Pro. ;9

Malson

I was under the impression that half the industry uses Logic Pro. The only reason I'm not is because I don't have a Mac.

Moss.

Probably true, but in Foster the People's case I can actually tell because I recognize certain reverb and bitcrusher presets, haha.

Which is actually not a great thing.

The worst part about having used FL Studio for so long is recognizing synth presets in popular music. It virtually ruins every song I notice it in.

Moss.

I got Stylus RMX a few months ago, and then I started watching the reboot of Dr. Who. They used a LOT of Stylus RMX presets back then, haha. And they didn't really bother remixing them, either. Always the presets.

Also, the old GameShow Network show Chain Reaction used to have this synth noise that I KNEW was from one of the East West collections.

Did you know they East West can actually take legal action against you if you "create" music/sound that's based on a singular patch, and a singular note? You have to use so many notes (to actually create a melody) or combine at least 3 or so patches (for more atmospheric sounds) so the resulting sound isn't immediately recognizable as just "choosing a patch and pushing a key."

I mean, they probably aren't gonna go looking for shit like that, but I remember reading it on the East West Composer's Collection box.
