Still missing a lot of stuff. The intro and outro are basically nothing at the moment as you may be able to tell but that will change soon.

I had a metronome click track that I used for reference but it's not in the picture.

There's too many meter and tempo changes to bother doing it in Logic.

That's pretty impressive still. I'd be kinda nervous ignoring the guides.

I don't know, it doesn't seem very hard to me. That's how I've always done my mixing though.

I guess I should explain the image a little to those of you non-musicians. What you're looking at is a very zoomed out view of all the tracks I have so far of the first song. Actually there are a few more bits not in that image, but anyway. I decided to go ahead and start doing as much preliminary mixing as I can to save time. And also because I hadn't heard everything all together yet.

It sounds awesome.

So maybe it's time for another preview?  xD lol

There's some things I still need to do first, but yes that is coming. Probably the first week of August.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but what inspired the name?

Oddly enough it was Resident Evil 4. When I found out del lago translates to from the lake, I thought that was a really evocative phrase and I wanted to use it for a piece of music. That didn't happen for like 6 years until I started this.

When this was still a rock opera, even though we didn't have a story yet I knew I wanted that to be the title because it brings about a lot of vivid images, to my mind at least. We worked around the lake being a centerpiece and that influenced the music which influenced the story which influenced the music etc.

I've sent out a demo of the Overture to donators, and tomorrow or possibly Wednesday I'll be posting a public demo of Dearly Beloved. Both of these demos are missing instruments and are early mixes, but I think it's time to start showing people a bit of what's been going on these past couple of years. That said, everything is sounding pretty good so far and even though there are still issues here and there, these tracks are still enjoyable to listen to. Or at least, that's the goal, anyway.

That was pretty cool. It got me hype for the finished music.
