RMRK's IRC Has Moved!

After... 6? Years with PSIGenix, RMRK's IRC now lives on Snoonet. We've also taken the opportunity to change the channel name. Now RMRK's IRC channel is #rmrk instead of #crankeye.

What do I need to do?
If you're a good boy/girl and follow our advice in setting irc.rmrk.net as the server in your IRC client, nothing except joining #rmrk instead of #crankeye. For Hexchat, this option is in your network list entry for RMRK:

If you registered / make use of nickserv, you should do this again on the new IRC network. If you've forgotten how, it's this: /msg nickserv register password email@email.com. Obviously, change the password and email accordingly.

The online webchat has been updated accordingly. You're guaranteed to land on the new network through it.

Your ISP's DNS is out of date then. Many of them cache longer than the nameserver says they should

Or it may be that your computer is caching it. Open a cmd window and type in: ipconfig /flushdns

You may also want to use Google's free open DNS instead.

c'mon, it's not like he knew this was gonna happen or anything.. That being said, if someone could tutorial the hell out of telling me how to set up an IRC server, I do have a webhost I can sue for this, to host it and all =p

People have been complaining about this new network since we moved to it and it's obvious that it has way more issues than psigenix ever had. Plus he vouched for it so either this network started being annoying when we moved to it, he didn't notice it or he knew and moved us there anyway. Either way, we should have ditched snoonet already.

It actually is way worse than what we use to be on. I'm sure Roph didn't know about it, so it isn't really something to blame him for except that the move was a bit hasty.

It's annoying but it also isn't that big of a deal since people usually aren't talking anyway.
