Opinions Requested

So I've been wanting to set up an etsy shop for some time now, but I've been a little uncertain as to what to put into it. I've heard it's a good idea to stick to one type of item and make a lot of variety of that one item, but I don't know what to choose. So I'd like opinions on what you would want to buy from my theoretical store. Hats, bags, scarves, plushies, pillows, whatever can be crocheted. I can pretty much make anything.
I'm leaning towards hats like this, but I don't know if the market for adorable animal hats extends far enough to actually make a profit. .-.

Last time I checked animal hats actually were a pretty big trend. Hopefully I'm earning a big ol' captain obvious sign but don't spend everything on stocking up (obviously lol).

Another thing to do in addition (though probably in less quantity) is hats *for* animals. Sounds silly but people love stuff like that. Opens up market to people with too much money or just love their pet *that* much lol.

EDIT : Not implying that if you don't buy your pet a hat you are an animal hater and should be reported to animal control xD lol

I agree with Tsuno    Animal hats are everywhere here.  The only concern I would have is what happens when the trend shifts.  But you could worry about that when the time comes

Not to mention it's winter time and everyone's gonna need a hat ~ Also, I think you should do animal hats AND hats aimed towards boy-ish stuff, too, like video games. That Skyrim hat you made was phenomenal (though I'm pretty sure it'd be illegal for you to sell those, right? Trademarks and what not? Idk xD)!

Yeah I was thinking about it, but I don't want to get into trouble with copyright stuff. It seems like a lot of people on etsy just don't care, but I'd rather not risk it. :X

Etsy is pretty much all copyright infringing stuff. I love it.
