I wasn't really sure where else to post this so....

Have you guys heard about the tornado that came through Dallas?
Probably... Maybe some have...

So yesterday Around three-thirty or so My younger sister got out of school and we had to drive through the worst rain storm I've ever freaking seen! There were so many cars on the road it took us almost an hour before we were able to get close to the front of the building.

It got really crazy when we were sitting in the road and a news guy came on saying that a new tornado warning for Collin (Where I live) was just issued. Then the sirens immediately came on. Then, while the sirens were still going, I had to jump out of the car and go into the school to get Sara. It was crazy!!!!!    :o (There is no smiley for crazy so...)
It's a good year when you win an award and give a name to a beer. But you have to make up a sex position to complete it. That would be the Bullwinkle.

I think at this point about 60% of the members here are Texan, so we heard about it. I was worried about you all ;o (except Doctor Sword)

GLAD WE'RE ALL ALIVE

Lethrface

It looked really nasty yesterday here in San Marcos...I was glad I didn't have to go anywhere due to the fact that I have to ride my bike everywhere I go haha
I am out of fucks to give.  In fact, I think you owe ME some fucks.  I have insufficient fucks in the fucking account.

Jules

I'm really glad you're all alive too. <3

EvilM00s

I thank (insert cosmic force here) that you were all uninjured.

Were there any less fortunate?

Dwarra?

Amazingly nobody died. But there is a shit load of property damage and some people are homeless now ;9

What could a concerned individual do? Are there special releif funds?

I live in Collin with Guin and Swordie. As soon as Guin and I got out of class, we heard the sirens go off at the campus. We rushed home, where I pretty much spent all day on the couch, watching the local news and praying for everyone's safety.

Holy shit, that was a terrifying day. Thank god my sister's boyfriend, who is from Missouri, I believe, was there to tell us what to expect if a tornado would come.

After my parents so kindly watched "Twister" in front of me as a young child, I can honestly say I've always been deathly afraid of tornadoes.

I heard the Salvation Army is on the job. :) Which is ironic, because in the recent past I went through all the clothing my family never wears (which ended up being a crap ton) and donated it to the Salvation Army. Now, it's good to know that all that is going to good use. :tpg:

I'm not afraid of Tornadoes (Apparently that's how you spell that as plural...) mainly because we never have been affected by one so the fear is kind of unreal for me... I wouldn't want to be caught in the path of one though. That was only a category 3 Tornado. It goes up to 5.

One day I would like to take one of those tours and chase a tornado. That seems like it would be a real rush!!!

Fall From Eden

That looks absolutely terrifying! I'm really glad to hear that you're all fine. Really, we've only been caught in a tornado once, but that was way more than enough to make us never want to be near another one ever again.

More power to you! You won't find us doing that. :P

IAMFORTE

We got hit by a tornado all the way up here in the north, quite the experience, glad you guys are all okay :D

Acolyte

Glad you guys are alright. We have some tornados once in a while. They're never fun.  ;9

We get storms like this every year and we've got a system good enough that outside relief isn't necessary. All of our tax money goes to paying for stuff like this and Rick Perry's insane idea of the week.
