Lirra: The three kingdoms' alliance is a game which has been in and out of development for many years. It contains big, detailed mapping. Interesting plot intertwining politics, war, love and friendship. Renamable characters to make your playthrough your own and lots of complex little systems to make the game feel alive.

Demo coming shortishly.
Any feedback is good feedback (aslong as its constructive)

Enjoy!

1. Story
A story set within the world of Lirra, a world with stretching deserts in the north and the ice in the south and beyond. Three nations have ruled the lands for generations. The Kingdom of Annofall, known for its abundance of food and farmland. The Republic of Jarle, known for its great wealth due to the gold mines in the great Sand Sea. And the now so-called Kingdom of the Ice Islands, with its capital left in ruins due to those who slumber beyond the ice.

The Three nations' alliance has stood for nearly as long as the nations themselves. An oath made by all, King and citizen, to uphold peace and to stave war to keep the ice at bay. However, relations have been strained of late. The newly appointed council of Jarle are warmongering and the old ways may be lost forever.

Meanwhile on a group of islands known as The Isles, you will take control of a young, naive son looking for his father. You will meet many faces along the way, some friend, some foe. You will travel all across Lirra, be it on foot or boat, or through forest or desert. Can the Three nations' Alliance be kept? Or will Lirra turn to all out war?

Lirra: The three kingdoms' alliance has a compelling storyline, mixing love, war and politics. You will always have places to explore and side quests to complete, you can fish to feed yourself and buy new items to upgrade yourself and your party.
2. Features
Not available in the Demo Version '+'
Detailed & big maps
Mapping will be done to the best of my ability, forests will be swarming with foliage and critters, cities will be decorated with care and NPC's will answer your questions about the history of their settlements and lives. Weather will come and go and will change map routes and enemies.

Ambient sounds
A set of music and ambient sounds will make the place your in feel more alive, to a forest with a river flowing, to a metalized industrial town with horns blaring and people shouting! Sounds will come and go if you are further away from a river or a crowd of people.

+Choices
Even though the game is initially plot driven, you can make decisions which will make NPC's react differently to you or make quests easier or harder. You can even completely change areas by completing optional quests, such as clearing a bandit camp and investing in a trade station.

A dynamic world
Maps, weather and events will change dynamically based on your game progress, actions, weather and other factors. You won't see all NPCs saying the same thing all the way through the game. They will move around town, go shopping and act on your quests and choices.

Hidden passages
Not all maps will be there staring you in the face, some maps are completely side-quest driven and won't be even seen if you don't meet that particular NPC who will give you that quest!

+Land A'hoy!
Your own ship to travel around Lirra on, will be customizable such as furniture and sailor uniforms.

Play on forever!
After completion of the game, you may carry on to finish any side quests you didn't finish or explore any places you may have missed. Many end game enemies will only spawn upon certain completing of the main quest line, put the game down and you may miss out on legendary weaponry! The demo version will transport you to Annofall so you can explore there.

Mini-games/Quests
Take a break from the main storyline. Distract yourself with Lirra with a bunch of quests which will give you items and mini-games which feature puzzles and rewards!

+Player owned houses
Houses can be obtained in the game and can be decorated.

Battle System
There is a sideview style battle system. Its active time with a bar so characters with the highest agility will have their turn next.

Save System
'Save Crystals' are used to save your progress, most are just used for saving while coloured ones may have different options such as hub teleportation or party healing.

Fishing/cooking system
You can learn to fish early in the game, you can then cook that fish at a range which will give you added health replenishment on eating or a bigger profit if you sell it!

Bounty Hunting
Players can hunt wanted monsters or NPC's, doing so will win you both experience and rewards and who knows what else?
Oh, thought you meant the first pic not the first of the screenshots! That's the feeling i wanted to give i hate how all RPG Maker games seem lifeless so i added lots of people to talk too! Larm has four districts aswell so your in for a treat lol, and Jarle isnt far behind just more compact.

In the video, your cave looks a little too square. Try using the wall corner tiles more. Other than that, it looks fairly decent.

Also, Narm. :V

I do tend to make caves look less squareish but i failed in this instance because i made it big, il look in to it and emend it at once! And i had no idea about the terminology of the word 'Narm!' I just thought it up early on and stuck with it, i found out my XBL Gamertag was a place in Wales so nothings new there.

Acolyte

Lol, don't worry about it too much. It's just the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the name. I don't think it's that widely used.

Arrow

It was the first thing that popped up into my head too. :tpg:

Ive only just noticed that the city of 'Narm' shouldn't have even existed! The original name was 'Larm' and for some reason ive gone down the track of calling the city Narm in game and on screenshots and Larm in the story bio! The First village is called Namaar so i think i got abit confused  :o So all comments about Narm are now invalid!  ;D

The game looks great, but in the bottom screenshot lower left jail cell the bars don't connect to the wall properly.

I have to admit that the map wasn't finished when i posted, i needed two images to upload on other sites i post on and that was the only one which wasnt too similar to the rest, but don't worry its fixed now! That map is the Goblin city of 'Topar' by the way!

What I like in your first video is that your city really lives. A lot of people and a lot's going on, I like it.

The story may sound a bit cliché, but it could be fun when executed properly.

I do have a tip for your fish, which you seem to have a lot; try putting them on 150 opacity instead of 255, then it looks like they're really IN the water.

Thanks for the tip they look more realistic now! The sprite used was only intended to be temporary intill i found a similar one used in RMVX but i haven't found a suitable candiate yet :(

A demo of this game would have been released yeaaaaars ago if the battle system wasn't mucking up :(

I still work on the game from time to time and in celebration of me creating a world map for Lirra.. i have re-upped all images and have updated the info about game!

The forums i used for hosting the game info and files has since been deleted due to inactivity, so i will be using this thread as a new hub for information.
