Alright, it's been talked about on IRC all morning, people downloading and installing and patching and etc...  But no organization.  So, let's get this all sorted out.

To patch, either use the 'update' function in the launcher

IF YOU ARE USING VISTA YOU -MUST- DOWNLOAD THE CRITICAL REBUILD, THE CHAPTER 1 MODULE FILE (AND POSSIBLY OTHERS) ARE INCORRECT FOR VISTA AND MUST BE UPDATED.

Ventrilo:
simple.  Download the Ventrilo Client (NOT the server program, and connect to the server below.  You must select the proper version (either 32 or 64 bit, check your operating system to know which to select)  No Irocks Allowed.

HOW TO CONNECT:
Connect to hamachi, when you find out who is hosting, copy their address from the server readout. 
Go to 'join internet game' and select 'direct connect' from the buttons on the bottom
delete the listed IP and paste the one you copied from hamachi
press connect

If you don't have hamachi already, download it below.

REMINDER: Game didn't run past character creation at resolutions above 800x600 for me, and it crashed if I tried to skip the intro stuff as well, so 800x600 works.  might just be me, or might be vista overall.

WHEN IT ASKS YOU FOR A KEYGEN, OPEN UP MY COMPUTER AND LOOK FOR THE DRIVE YOU MOUNTED IT IN.
RIGHTCLICK AND CLICK EXPLORE. THERE IS A FOLDER LABELED _CRACK_
DOUBLE CLICK THE KEYGEN
PUT IN KEYGEN

STEP FIVE:

RUN THE GAME, BUT DON'T CLICK PLAY.
CLICK ON THE UPDATE BUTTON IN THE SPLASH SCREEN
DO NOT CLICK ON IT IF YOU HAVE VISTA SEE THE NEXT STEP

STEP SIX:

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE VISTA SKIP THIS STEP
FOLLOW NAMKCORS GUIDE IN THE FIRST POST ABOUT RUNNING ON VISTA

STEP SEVEN:

YOU CAN NOW FREELY PLAY SINGLE PLAYER WHEE

IT HAS INSTRUCTIONS ON OPENING A FILE IN YOUR WINDOWS FOLDER CALLED HOSTS, OPEN IN WORDPAD
ADD THE LINE IT TELLS YOU TO AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST IN THE FILE.

CONTINUE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT PUTTING IN A NAME AND PASSWORD
