problem with rpgmaker xp

i am trying to make a game and when i start it the main character graphic walks all the way to the left and the arrows dont work so i cant go up down left
and if i try the game on my mothers computer or the one at school i dont have this problem

any ideas why this is happening cause i got no idea it is realy hard to make a good game if the test game doesn't work properly

see if theres  auto start event!

i will try
but a completed project of my friend gives the same problem
and on my mothers computer if i test play the same project it doesn't  go left i can just walk myself

just made a short new project and same problem:S:S

reinstall the exe file from some other site then...

i also tryed the pk edition doesnt work either but the problem is if i ptest play the game on somebody else his computer i install the same things in the same mpas and then it works but on my own computer it doesn't

p.s. do you know another side aside of download.com to download the legal version

1st: replace keyboard with mothers keyboard, and try it.
2nd: dowload someones demo/game on this fourm and try to play it
3rd - reinstall entire software

Try checking any external controllers you have hooked to the computer. That's usually the problem.

Yeah, I have that problem some times.

Noumanm's right, just try some games other people have made. If theres no problem, then you should reinstall everything.

It's a corrupt .dll file, try reinstalling RMXP.
