Damage Numbers Aren't Showing Up?!

I'm using RPG Maker XP, and the numbers (that show how much damage is done) aren't showing up! They used to show up just fine, but now they're gone! I tried reinstalling the program, and the same thing happens. Can anyone help?

from the same or someother site

I have to reinstall Arial Black? But every site I go to, you have to pay like 22 bucks to download the font!

And yes, I think that is my problem, because one of the games I downloaded had a different version of arial black and i replaced the original with that one (in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts). Anyone know where I could get Arial Black for free?
