Export help!

does anyone know how to export a demo for rpg maker xp? i have been trying for days now and its driveing my mad! plz help. :cry:

i THINK i know what you mean.all you have to do is put the folder of the game demo into a zip or RAR file,then go to a file hosting site,like megaupload.com,and upload it,saving the link.

did that help?

kinda....i wanted to learn how to export a game to those who don't have rpgmaker xp on their systems. but thanks for the idea.

megaupload is free,and i'm not sure how to distribute..i think u gotta make a disc...

ok thanks for the site but when i make a disk it always says game creation failed. i guess it is because i downloaded from a japanese site. i don't know.

Game creation failed? Do you have RTP installed? Because in order to make a gamedisk with RMXP you need to have the original RTP compiled within the game itself, even if you don't use it.

When you install RMXP for the first time, the installation screen will give you two choices, to install the program and RTP. You need to install both before making a valid gamedisk.

well actually i did downloaded it form crankeye so it never showed up. so wehre would i get the RTP?

The PK version should have RTP already built in, unless you unchecked the RTP box.

Download the trial (English) legal version @ http://www.download.com/RPG-Maker-XP/3000-7537_4-10439795.html?tag=lst-0-1

And then when the 30 day trial runs out, buy it for 60 USD. You shouldn't have a problem afterwards.

that is no longer a problem i found a tut on how to export without the rtp. but thanks for the link.

omg legal stuff it burns o srry just hade to say that theres also a more complicated way to do it without making a game disk at all thats how i did it but i got flamed for sharing it if u want it pm me and i will give u instructions on how to do it
