Starting with one person in your party

I'm using rpg maker 2003 and i want to know how, when playing the game, you can start off with just one person so they can be added later. Since party starting positions wont let you use any other events i need to know how to do this.

system tab in the database, look for starting party and change it

you set your even..gotochange party group and delet all but 1...swich key [press to auto start and thats it...very sad  man
