I noticed you're still only really increasing the brightness to create new shades. Even though that's generally how we think of color as laymen, there's so much more to color than that. If you inspect the colors of a photograph, you'll see that the hue and saturation varies in addition to brightness. A general rule of thumb is blue is darker, yellow is lighter.

Also you should see if you can reuse colors before creating new ones.

i try to reuse colors but i forget
like how i keep using 100% saturation on accident, but that im getting better at so ill start working on reusing colors next

I think you need to establish what the focal point is, and try to bring attention to it.

By lightening some of the foreground colors, it brings more attention to the hill.
