Oh Hell Yes: 360 gets bigger external support (in possibly a few months)

You'd think with the Xbox One now being Microsoft's main focus and having been on the market for 17 months that would be the end of the matter. However, Major Nelson has confirmed that Xbox 360 owners will be getting support for external hard drives up to 2TB in size before the end of 2015.

If you've still got your 360, I've got some great news for you. Now I don't have to pick between installing disc games I want to run faster and having enough space for all the free ones Microsoft keeps giving gold members. Too bad "before the end of 2015" is the best ETA we've got, but better late than never I suppose.

Yes and yes. It's an understandable oversight for the time, but they're perhaps a bit late in adding it. I'm excited for the update because Microsoft's been releasing a lot of surprisingly new titles lately for free to gold members (okay it's not really "free" if you're paying for gold membership but it's a return on your investment nonetheless) and come to think of it that might even be part of the reason why they're adding the update.
