the dress is blue and black, no question about it, the website it's sold off of confirms it

to some people at first look, especially dictated by the color they see around the picture, it's white and brown, but it's a matter of the lighting and an optical illusion

I don't understand how a picture with poor lighting is an optical illusion. It just looks like it's a photo taken with a bad camera. The picture on Amazon is clearly blue and black though.

I saw the dress as white and gold the first time I looked at it. Then I read the article that accompanied it, looked at it again and saw it as blue and black. I had recently watched this episode of Brain Game, so that made sense to me lol. It's definitely blue and black

I really want to be able to see it as white/gold but I don't think it's possible. I mean, knowing it's black and blue is kind of reaffirming but I wish I knew what everyone else was seeing.

The pictures of it being sold as blue and black on the website also show other color options being available. One of which is gold and white. At the least the picture I saw did. So my conclusion is that both are correct.

But yeah. I have no idea how this got to be such a big story. Kind of fun to see who sees what colors though. I can't bring myself to see anything but white and gold, even when operating under the assumption that there is only 1 color scheme and that scheme is blue and black.
