2/13 Weekly Map Jam - Dark Forest

WEEKLY MAP JAM!
Alright I want to kick off a new thing with hardly any planning!

So from today until next Friday night make some maps in your maker of choice!

The theme this week to kick things off is "Dark Forest". 

Rules!
-Post up a map that fits the theme from your preferred maker program
-Please only submit one map though.
-Post what you think the map theme should be next week first map with a suggestion is the next week's suggestion, no suggesting twice in a row.
-Next week Post who you thought had the coolest, most fitting, whatever, map from the previous thread

also noting that forte didn't suggest a theme for next week, should we just go with whatever submits the first map of the week suggests? obviously some people are faster mappers so we should probably go with it being no back to back suggestions for the next theme.

I'm cool with that.


Here's two versions of my map, one with a rain effect and one without. I wanted some way of darkening the map without having to do any external editing, but it makes it a bit hard to see certain things.

Idea: what about having next week's theme be random from the suggestions? Of course, only taking into account who posts suggestions, since people don't have to post them. There's plenty o' internet randomizers out there to help out with that!

But I am also quite ok with first person's choice (with no double-dipping). My idea might just be more trouble than its worth in the long-run. ;o


Also, I shall attempt to make a map tonight, once I've gotten some college make-up work done. ;~;

I think first come first serve no double dipping will be much easier to maintain than having to make extra work of it.

I may give this a run tonight after work.

  I need to add some filters so it looks darker. also rtp has no fucking bushes that look good.
