The tilesets are temporary, but I do not intend to get really graphically detailed for a couple reasons.

That's fine, it looks pretty good as is. Go with whatever you feel is best!

I may be missing something here, but what is the game about? A cryptic message and two screens only tell me so much. It's not an RPG, which is an interesting deviation from what regularly passes by. Like that song goes, tell me more, tell me more...

It is a game in development, and I don't want to spill too much just yet.  But I do like showing my works in progress.
I will tell you this, it's a more serious game akin to dys4ia or loneliness.  It is something I have been rattling around for a while that I'm finally getting into code.
