What books, novels, series or graphic novels are you reading right now?

I just finished reading Moth and Empires of Moth by Daniel Arenson.

Currently working on Homeland by RA Salvatore.

Also I'm reading Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Getting nostalgic.

And I appreciate that.

Sophist

I'm still about neck deep in A Song of Ice and Fire.

Jules

I've been burning through books at a rate of about one every 2 days lately.  Most of them are pretty small. I'm currently reading The Summons by John Grisham.

Anski which one are you on?  I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment. They are all so good. ._.

Sophist

A Clash of Kings. I'm caught up with the HBO series, so I know what happens, but it's awesome nonetheless. I plan on being done with the current books before Season 4 begins.

That one veers slightly from the series. The third one was pretty different if I remember right.  I enjoyed the books way more than the series.

I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment. They are all so good. ._.

I remember being eager for the fourth one to come out, and it took five years and focussed almost exclusively on the most boring characters. Then I was eager for the fifth one to come out, and it also took five years and it was not nearly as good as the first three (in my opinion). I'm not eager anymore. Eagerness leads to disappointment.

EDIT:: Well, that might be putting it too dramatically. To be clear, I liked all the books.

I haven't read any of them yet. I'll put them on my list to read for 2014 for sure.

Acolyte

I'm only halfway through A Game of Thrones. ._.

Well I was lucky in that A Dance With Dragons came out while I was reading the first four so I didn't have to wait. I agree that the fourth wasn't as good as the first three and I wasn't sure why we were getting so much info about these characters. But I liked the fifth one! I already have ideas about who is going to survive to the end and I want to see if I am right lol  xD

Also I forgot to add that I finished The Summons and am now reading The Wedding by Nicholas Cage. This is my last book that I checked out so I need to head back to the library soon. Any recommendations?  As long as the story is captivating I'll read anything. (almost :P)

I don't really read that much. :\
Unless you count all the time I spend on Reddit, which I SWEAR isn't all just looking at pictures of cats, I check out the technology, science, news, and TIL subreddits too (among others).

also i'm waiting for aco to finish a game of thrones so we can talk about it before moving onto a clash of kings or i'll probably end up spoiling something.

Sophist

I need a dance with dragons and a feast for crows, if you don't mind. Are they separate ebooks or just one whole collection?

Unbroken - Laura HIllenbrand

I just started it yesterday but it really sucks you in.  It's a narrative history about Louis Zamperini.

Is it still readable when you're an adult? I'm afraid of ruining my memories of the series now that i'm not 15.

bluntsword

I enjoy reading it again.

It's certainly not the best example of fantasy literature, but it's fun to read. So a win in my case.

I have this book still on my bookshelf, untouched for 8 years.

Lack of motivation to read it or one of the terrible covers that was made for it?

Such as

Good for the 80's though.

Finished Unbroken, really awesome book.  Then I read Wild.  Not my taste but still good enough that I finished it.  And I just started reading The Giver by Lois Lowry.  I'm currently working my way through this list. lol I hate it when there is a movie coming out and someone says "Oh the book is so much better!" and I haven't read the book >_<  So I'm trying to get a jump on it this year xD

bluntsword

That's not a small list Jules!

Hope I can make it through like, ONE of those :-p
