Kinda got bored in the middle of the night, and well, that boredom resulted in this thread.
Anyways, where were your ancestors from? For me, my mother is a Thai/Malay born in Thailand, in the province of Chiang Mai of which it
borders Myanmar and Southern China, however, she says that our mothers ancestors were actually from Mongolia, of the Hmong race a long time ago. My father on the other hand, said that his ancestors was originally from Eastern Russia, which was at the time, was bordered by Manchukuo, a state in China, and we were of Manchu lineage. What about you?

On my fathers side until 4 generations ago we were completely Mexican/Mestizo, then my great great grandmother married a German dude and their son impregnated (not sure if consensual) my great grandmother who was a plains indian (Comanche is what they say, but my grandmother was raised by her Uncle so nobody knows for sure!) And my dad's biological father was most likely 100% German but nobody knew that dude either!

My maternal grandmother was 100% Irish and my grandfather is a mix of Irish and Native American (supposedly.)

So I'm mostly German/Irish with a lot of Native American and Mexican!

I come from a bunch of euros. :p

I'm half German, a quarter Scotch Irish, and a quarter English (that's where my last name comes from...with that weird silent "u" thrown in after the "o". Example: "Colour".) You can't find many people with my last name, unless you look in the UK.

On my mom's side, I think my grandpa (we call him "Opa") is full German, and my grandma was full Scotch Irish. Her maiden name was "Bothwell", and I think my mom mentioned that a specialist speculated that we may be descendants to Lord Bothwell (and potentially Queen Mary of Scots and the Tudors(?)). Of course, I have no idea how true that is - it's mostly just rumors. Something about Bothwell and Mary potentially having a child or something. My European history/theories are a little rusty.

On my dad's side, we have another full German (my grandma - I think) and I'm pretty sure his dad was full English - which is why our last name ended up being English.

So, the two "halves" from Germany kinda carried over, because both of my parents are half-German. :p At least, that's all what I've been told.

My ancestors were predominantly Irish and Polish, with equal parts German and Jewish added in. There's about 50 other things mixed in there somewhere but it's not worth figuring out all of them because I'm American anyway.

I think I might be a mutt. I'm part German from my father's side, part Irish from my great grandmother, part Italian from my mother, part Norwegian from my great grandmother, and my grandfather was part korean.

I have no idea, and probably never will.

But my beard is red, and I get freckles instead of a tan, so there's that.

Your ancestors are likely Scottish or Irish since both of these races has the highest percentages of having 'red' hair in all of Europe.
Then again, I might be wrong. You ancestors could be from Russia or somewhere for all I know.

Also, wow.  :irock2:

7 generations Australian (i.e., first fleet. not entirely sure, but probably as a convict) from my maternal grandfather. Obviously that line was British. Maternal great-grandmother was British, emigrated to Australia. My dad's family moved here around 1970, from London.
Prior to any of that is the race mixing you'd expect from all ancestors living in Britain. Yeah, I'm not very interesting.
it's like a metaphor or something i don't know
