Wii U is backwards compatible, so no matter

The Wii U is still relatively new enough that its own thread should be given to draw attention to it. After the thread dies off, I'll compile the info and add it to the main hub thread.

Yes sir. And the TV/cable is hooked up through it. Didn't do Netflix though, because I don't know if I can link any more devices to my account.

I want a Wii U : (

If I win the lottery I promise the first thing I'll buy is a Wii U for you :)

It's fun :) But there's only like 2 good games out right now anyway.

modern algebra

Yeah, I've been waiting for better games before I really try it. I didn't even know there were two good games on it yet. What are they?

haloOfTheSun

New Super Mario Bros. U (of course) and I like Scribblenauts but I think that's available on the 3DS too, so~

Countdown

I tried Rayman on it, I liked that one. Didn't care for Super Mario Bro. U.

I'm waiting for a solid Mario/Zelda/Metroid game before I get one.

Dwarra?

Rayman, Sonic Racing, Ninja Homo 3, ZombiU, Super Homo Bros

haloOfTheSun

ZombiU seems really generic. I guess it doesn't help that the title is about as generic as it can get, either.

It actually looks kind of unique for a zombie survival game. It's a slow paced game where you have limited resources, and you only live once as a single character. The big name zombie games like Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising aren't like that at all.

Gracie

Can't wait to get one, really looking forward to MH3Ultimate and the new Zelda which looks stunning.
Also I want the new Rayman.

That's a tech demo, not a game nor a representation of what the next Zelda will look like.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Yeah.

In the year 2000!
What they showed - (That one tech demo ) http://youtu.be/wBtAvX4Pkyk
What we got - (Zelda: Wind Waker) http://youtu.be/jlyDXjW9XXc

Don't expect it to look anything like the tech demo. They are tech demos, demonstrating the technology, not a game.

Its only unique aspect is its GamePad integration, which looks kind of neat, but who knows whether the gameplay holds up or not. I've heard mixed reviews, myself.

That only sounds unique when compared to zombie games of recent years, but admittedly I don't know much about the game.

Never buy a new system for at least a year. You're paying a premium price for a lame library of games. By the time good games start coming out, the price of the console will have gone down, or sales will lower the consoles price.

There are already fun looking games out right now and Pikmin 3 is coming out soon. Plus you get to reserve a username before all the queers.

I don't regret buying my Wii the day it came out (and not just because the Wii didn't get a pricedrop for years).  I had fun with it.

modern algebra

Yeah, I don't regret getting the Wii early either, but that was partly because my Gamecube was broken and I still had several gamecube games to play through.

In this case though, none of the games interest me enough to purchase early. That's not an opinion on what anyone else should do of course.

I wholeheartedly agree. I wouldn't have a Wii U if it weren't a gift.
