Hello, everyone. I'm returning to the forums after a rather protracted, unannounced absence. To those of you who noticed, I thank you.

Factors beyond my control have neccessitated my, uh, vacation. I git a real big-boy job at the steel mill, doing what I love- emergency medicine and fire service- and just as soon as I got the insurance coverage from it I ran to get a checkup from the ol' MD.

He had some bad news.

The adrenal cyst I once had decided to come back, and this time it aspired to glory. Yep, malignant tumor. Needless to say, I opted to have it removed and underwent some treatment to ensure it's destruction. So far, so good.

Being one of the forum's oldest members, I guess this is my opportunity to tell all you youngsters to take really good care of yourselves. Life is going to throw you enough curve balls without you risking your health on your own.

So to recap: tumor bad, RMRK good, and I am excited to not only participate in the forums again but get back to work on my (sheesh, 2 years running) project. Maybe there will be a finished game to play before we all die of old age!

I'm really sorry to hear about your tumor... I'm glad you are doing well, though!! There's talk that natural vitamins are a good way to keep your body healthy Not sure how true it is, but when my brother-in-law got cancer years back, he started eating really healthy fruits & veggies (after he found out) and the doctors were amazed at how healthy he was for a cancer patient. He didn't have to go through as much therapy, and got to keep his hair!
