[VX/VXA] Final Fantasy 8 Monsters [Pack 1-4 100%, Pack 5 10%, Special Pack 20%]

Figured id make some of the enemies from final fantasy 8 in battler form.. If you guys want a specific monster let me know nd ill get on it.

Gonna try and make em all at some point, bare with me on it.

[Demo] Upgraded to include an evented draw system, Evented Attack and defense elemental junctions, Status defense junction, Magic refining, Final fantasy 8 icons, Command junction with Mug, Treatment, Darkside and more, Plus ability junctions and scan update, steals, added Gfs (Ifrit) (Diablos) (Geezard King) (Quezacotl) (Shiva) (Siren), And now includes
Squall, Zell, Irvine, Selphie, Quistis, Rinoa, Seifer, Edea, Laguna, Kiros, Ward,
Rajin, Fujin, Ultimecia, Headmaster Cid
Pain added, Gfs now must gain ap to master junction skills
And updated monster and actor stats to match the original, bare in mind skills still need tweaking tho
Think of it as the final fantasy Viii Veldt... it is slowly taking shape

Btw the new ones are original gfs, Geezard King is in the demo and is a dark type Gf, Iv made him a new face to match the others, itl be up when i next update the demo
Chronos is another Gf i am currently working on, he is a time type Gf and based off the ancient greek titan Chronos
2 Chronos Crystals Assists chronos in battle
Talos is another new Gf, havnt decided much about him yet
Oh.. and screw the order ill do em all just not in order they appear in the game

These, to be honest quite Shocked me, At first i was expecting some Ripped images directly from the game, So Kudos to you.

My only irk is the fact that Ifrit and Diablos  are not in the battle Stance that they where in the FF8 game, Not a big deal, Would be nice to see them in that stance, along with this  is  think ifrits hands doesn't suit being Clenched up, mainly if i remember correctly he had large claws

other than them Minor (they are minor considering the amount of time that would Require to create a FF8 sprite in the style that you're doing) details They're Brilliant

i think Ifrit skin is fine, but rather his mane is too dark. i understand the reason why you might not do the exact stance as well, As for the resolution it seem  fine to me, all of the exact shading and colour wise,

Just a curious Future question, Would you be doing the Hero's at a later date? (i.e Squall Zell etc)

Lord Von kain: Yeah sure they are planned as a bonus when i finish making all of the battlers in the game, Bonus will be added then.. but im keeping hush hush about whos gonna make it into that.. lol

Personally, i think the Soldiers AND the X-ATM092 are the best,


and that Fake president is really Good, But if you're doing Dollet Up to the fake president then you're missing wendigo's  (dunno how they're Spelt) and the mummy head + the left hand and right hand and a few other monsters i believe,


EDIT : Just seen that you took out the Dollet and balama Part out (again forgot the spellings xD i love how FF games have such hard spellings :/)

Nope, you only encounter those monsters after you leave timber city, While in dollet you fight the guards and geezards and anaconders, then the bosses, Then cinematic, then you get the timber mission from cid and are sent to timber, where the next enocounter is the fake president and gerogero, then you have to go to timber tv station once thats done your free to explore the continent, the wendigos are in the mountains near deilng and the hands and mummy guy 2

Edit: And yh i think i took em out cause it was getting confusing cause theres more than 10 monsters on some levels

not me, its on my psx emulator, finished it the other day 4 the eighth time.. Finishing party was Squall, Kiros and Seifer.. found a program called griever which lets you edit your saved data and change characters... booya lol.

i'm aware of that program, i attempted to replace squall with Seifer xD

Just a curious, But do you use anything  to help with creating these sprites? like tracing around the 3D model then shading it in etc.

Yh thats because squall cant be moved.. not even with laguna.. slighty wounding..
Nope, the program i use is GIMP 2.0 and they are all drawn from scratch, usually taking about 3-4 hours,
I have an A level in art so drawing is kinda one of my things lol

ah i see,   and it did work, just after i save and reload it become Squall again.

Thats weird.. never had that problem... but whenever i used the garden to go anywhere the party selection menu before you get to fly it usually reverts it on mine... Ragnarock all the way lol
