Getting used to RMRK
Okay guys, once again I have a problem. Whenever I copy scripts from this website that are included in forum posts and not a link to the demo, and paste it into my scripts folder, it appears on one line. For example, if I copy the script from this page, http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,37053.0.html,  the entire thing appears on one line. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance guys.

IE and SMF just don't mix. Use Firefox or Safari or Opera or Chrome or something.

Is that really the only solution? I don't want to have to download one of those to my computer JUST so I can get scripts. I just use internet explorer for my internet uses.

that is the only option... Other than fixing it yourself, line by line, for, oftentimes, upwards of 100 lines...

personally, I like Firefox much more, as it is an all around better browser than IE... FF includes spell check, auto-save feature (in case you accidentally click something you shouldn't have, or your comp dies in the middle of an important and/or long post), and a couple other nice features that make it far the superior to IE...

In short, get Mozilla Firefox.
Ok, DON'T EXPECT HELP FROM ME~! I will perhaps rant a bit, but don't expect me to do graphics for you, even if I say I will... I won't.

I don't want to hear a rant or start an argument about web browsers becaus eit is just plain annoying. I guess I just won't get the scripts then. I don't care about all of the firefox stuff, I don't care about the chrome stuff, I use internet explorer for INTERNET. Not for fancy spell check, not for playing games with the best performance. So don't even start with that. I usse whatever is on the computer because they aren't any different to me because I just use it for the INTERNET! Man, sorry for that but it really pisses me off when people go and talk about how great something is because it always sparks an unneccecary argument. I know that you weren't saying it to brag, I know you were saying it to help but I just can't stand it lol. Thank you for trying to help, I just don't want to download another internet browser just to download scripts, when I already have one. Waste of space you know what I mean?

no one was arguing until you posted.

and for the record, my FF folder only takes up 28 MB... and although that is about 5 times what IE takes up, it is still an inconsequential amount considering that otherwise you would have to download demos for games in order to get your scripts (most of which are over 100 MB)

in the long run, it just makes more sense to download another browser, unless you're on a public/shared comp, then, sorry, but i can't help you there. I used to have the same problem...

No arguing, people.

Yes, I'm afraid the problem is with Internet Explorer being "unfriendly" with our forum's coding. We're still trying to see if there's a way to fix this. In the meantime, I'll help make text files of whatever scripts you need to download, if you'll send me a PM.

Update: http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,39746.0.html

There IS one solution for if you'd prefer to stick to IE for it. What you do is you copy everything, and paste it first into something like Wordpad or Microsoft Word. Then you copy it from there and post it into your game.

Yeah, I tried that but it still appeared on one line. I guess this is the only way so I'll do it. It's not a major problem for me, more of a personal issue so I can go with it.

Wait, it pasted out into a single line in Wordpad? Not the notepad, the wordpad?

No, after I put it in word and pasted it over to rpg maker it was still in one line.

That's odd. If you paste it into Word, then copy everything from Word and paste it into your game, it should come out okay. Perhaps you copied it after you pasted in Word?
