Lighting / Glowing Effect

Need something that will create a lighting / glowing effect. Like, around a campfire or lamp or lantern.

I'm now trying to use Near Fantastica's Lighting Effects script and I've done everything right, but it's not working. I have the pic saved to graphics/pictures, and I have an event with a fire graphic. I put in the first comment as "Lighting Effects" without quotes, and the second comment as "Fire." I go into the room with the lighting effect, but nothing is there! Please help.

you can use photoshop for that, it's really simple, and gr8th.
Theres many tuts on tutorial sections.
