If I want to create own opening video for my game, what program should I use. Also, how do I get that video to show before the title and during gameplay?

Creating actual footage for a game? I use AfterEffects CS3 and Flash CS3. I edit the footage with FinalCutPro. All of these are expensive if you plan on buying them. To play a video in VX, you need a video script. I know of 2. I think of them off the top of my head. I've used both and one just doesn't work for me. However, using a video script is very touchy. You have to have very precise file settings for each movie or it won't play or display completely incorrect.

Well you don't really have to. There are probably cheaper or free alternatives to the programs I use. I happen to have the professional versions of them all since I use it all the time. I'm not familiar with any video editing software that is Windows specific.
