I'm returning back to RPG Maker after a looong absence.  So i see there's a new RPG Maker out, XV.  I went to download it, and this time around we need to pay for it?  How come?

:)

its a pay to use program
Watch out for: HaloOfTheSun

Cause they're a business making money....with employees to pay.

Jonesy

You had to pay for all the other RPG makers out there too. It's not a new thing?
I'm much too lazy to put an actual signature here.

Actually you only have to pay for VX and XP, but yeah why give something away if you know a lot of people will buy it, and by releasing the first ones for free you got us hooked... I see your evil ploy.

But hey, you still have what 29 days left of trial. Just use it as much as possible and decide if it's worth your money, then pay (or use a keygen and burn in gamer hell for all eternity  ;8 )
Why do 1 lined nameless NPCs never get taken seriously?

I don't recall any of them being free... I thought you had to pay for them all...

Kokowam

Maybe they're confused with which ones they used keygens for :V

@NPC:
You had to pay for every RM, even 2k and 2k3. It's just that there was never an official English version release for those, so the only English ones are technically illegal modified releases, which are obviously free for download to the English community where as the legal version (Japanese only) still costs. (Not going to get into the legal/illegal debate and whatnot; just stating the facts.)
