Play as a warrior or priest in this very funish () rpg
Plot lasts a few hours, with secret rare weapons and
a dungeon you can complete
GoE was very fun to work on and my baby

But I'm certain I've found them all, so I shouldn't
receive many messages, if any. (I'll also chop your balls off for
making me find and fix bugs on a finished project)

Being your first game is not an excuse, dont take this as a flame but as criticism.

1. Your map sucks. I thought it was good until i saw the log border (which is the only bad part). Try to make it systematic, i know its a jungle but still everything looks crammed with less space to walk.

2. Your character development is lame. See, I Know its a first game and its just for fun and whatever but your main character.
Why did you use the FIRST sprite of the database, use the RTP, no problem, but not the FIRST sprite.
You could've done beter.

3. You haven't given us much detail. If i wanna tell you something about Final Fantasy, i wouldn't tell it like this:
Theres cloud
he got a sword
he good
then bad guys come
we kill
Win


Well, i'd say like that but not someone else so there's a place you can improve.

4. Lol @ chopping balls cuz everyone's balls are like stones here. You gotta grind them

5. Also, you didn't tell us something about the characters either. I know its your first game and you dont wanna actually post it cuz you dont need it anymore but please.

No, I said you can't criticize because I made that game months ago and I've gotten better since then, and giving me pointers I might already know is a waste of time

I used xp for this game, and am using vx for GoE2 (A much MUCH better game than this..-.-)
and when GoE2 is completed (eons from now), I might end up going back to xp

My main reason (and really only so far) is the lack of decent battle systems for vx
Unless a new one is scripted or someone is interested in scripting one just for GoE2
it would be extremely appreciated

anyways, just thought I'd bump this because for some strange reason I've gotten a lot of good reviews, so I figured I'd let the community see this again.
I'm sure I'll get flamers again like I did before, oh well :p

You did not get good reviews. You got sarcastic reviews. Show me screenshots of your good reviews. No one likes this game. It's finished, let it fall to death at the end of the forum's list of finished projects. There was no need to bump this but to be a pain in everyone's asshole hair follicles.

I had left yes, went to an mmo engine, then stopped that when I started playing WoW
now my WoW subscription is up, so I've split my little spare time between finding a better job, this forum, and games I can play
