A few characters I am working on for my project

A few sprites I made. All original except for the eyes, which came from White Ties (the template is design to match the way I make White Ties style characters)

C & C please, and yes, I'm making an FF8 fan game =p.

They look pretty good I think. The soldier there especially.

I do think that some of the shading looks strange though. Especially the girl's yellow dress. And Squall kind of looks blurry.

In any case, it's a nice sprite style and good luck.

I always have difficulty with Selphie's yellow dress >.>. I'm planning to redo Squall since he was the first sprite I made with the template and was really more of a practice.
His cross over belts are so hard >_<.

why is his jacket brown?

Because in most CG renders of him, it is brown

Squall's jacket is very dark brown, whilst his pants are more black-ish (though I used dark blue)

Ok, so these aren't exactly walking sprites but they are characters in my game.
Second one is in a spoiler because it is kind of a spoiler itself, so only view if you have no plans to play my game or don't give a flying kahootz =p.

[spoiler]demon wing? one.) it has nothing to do with squalls general (lion) theme. two.) Cloud and sephitard in kingdom hearts it's your game and you can do what you please though

Eh...? When did I mention Sephiroth and Cloud? I haven't even played FF7, and I would NEVER cross-over Final Fantasies. That's not something I would or could do.
I'm making an FF8 sequel, not a game labelled FF with various random characters thrown in.

And...

it's grievers wing? well I suppose, i only fought griever a few times, i don't know why but i love rpg's i just never enjoy the final dungeon so i might run through the game 10 times but only beat the final boss 2-3 times[/spoiler]

An update with a few more sprites. I think I'm going to have to start adding them to the first post.

Yes, Selphie's dress really IS that short. I think I need to de-sat the yellow on the chocobo and Selphie...but both are really bright yellows. Hmm...I'll definitely de-sat them a bit, they kind of hurt my eyes a bit :/.
