how do you make a script so that i can learn abilities from weapons

I would like to know how to gain abilities from weapons or armor. And you would need to have exp to learn that ability. Example: lets say you have an ice sword and you can learn ice from the weapon, but you need like 200 ability points to learn the move and once you learn the move you will know it forever. I would like to be able to get ability point from enemies. Its like Final Fantasy X.

well typically if you want to make a script to learn abilities from weapons, you'd open VX and go to the script editor.
Then, I assume you'd make some modifications to the equipment scene, and the battle scene, to take the skills and AP into consideration.
