Thanks to a suggestion Modern Algebra frequently makes, I got Paint.Net, which allows layers and transparency.

I used the Backwater Character Generator thing (it's in the resource database) and made a character with no head and elf ears.

Removed everything but the ears, which I copy and pasted on a layer above the image you provided and positioned it, then flattened and saved it.

Nah, you don't owe me anything.
