Side-view Final Fantasy VIII battlers (Count is at 10)

I'm making an FF8 fan-game at the moment, and I'm doing side-view battlers for it. Critique is appreciated but please note that I'm still learning a lot of techniques. I'm only 15, guys .

I like her, though she needs more detail and darker colours if you ask me. I've never played FF, only a demo from one of the old games, that came with my PS2, so I don't how she's supposed to look, but she just needs detail, and shading especially on those red weapon thingies. Nice though

I agree. She might need a bit more shading. As far as the proportions go though, I think she looks good.

I wish I could be of more assistance, but I'm a terrible spriter myself so I have no advice for shading techniques

As she is side-view, her position looks a little weirdo and I don't know if I'll be able to do her weakened stage right, it's so hard to find weakened templates where they're not on the ground >_<, and half of FF8 battlers are on the ground, the other half not, Selphie's one of the "other half".
Her weapons in-game are called shinobou (sticks of death) but I think they're actually a variation of nunchaku. And her dress really is that bright >_<.
I'm reshading her right now, this was just a test

kk, well I'd also like to say that you might wanna take a look at the feet. They look weird, and in some positions too "square"...

I like the guy a lot, especially the laarge sword, so the shading is a bunch of crap on it (sorry me using that word, but it is). But then again, you said you weren't all done

Which did you change? Squall or the girl? Anyways, there are a lot of darker red pixels around Squall, which is a shame as it looks like it's simply a bad-quality picture, and he is cool

, me likey now! But now the (white) shirt looks to me to need shading, as it's 100%, 100% white, and it looks a bit weird with all the other nice shading

You good with people, mon! Take a good long look at those two sprites at the top. They very good. You need not waste your time on something you not so good at... . Me likey your good stuff

Anyways, I like the fireball thingies, I remember fighting two of those in my demo. They look great, but also a bit weird to say the truth Especially since two of them look like they have smoke as red as themselves around them...

Haha, thanks Demonic Blade. The flowers are bosses in my game. I can't exactly have people for every boss in my game can I? . The "flower" I'm spriting is really huge and taking me forever because it won't stop MOVING! People are way easier . That's why I started work on Zell. He looked so funny the first time I put him in my game, he looked like he need to go to the toilet REALLY bad lol.
And anyway, flowers aren't the worst of it. Once I finish the giant flower, evil bunnies are next.

The dude with the two sided blade, his sword seems a little transparent, undefined.

The blonde guy has almost no detail above his neck. Its hard to see his eyes and stuff. Is that mascara?

The girl with the numchucks is the best, I think, but all of them could use a bit more pixels to make them look better.

Zell is supposed to have a tattoo on the side of his face. It's really hard to draw that on him.
This is what he's SUPPOSED to look like (if you can be bothered following links)
If you have any ideas on how to make the tattoo defined, feel free to make suggestions.

Yeah, Zell's ot my particular favourite either. I must've had too much lollies or something while I was making him  .
I'm planning on re-doing him because I don't like his ready pose. Not close enough to the original in my opinion.
