VX Character Sprite Generator

While I was clicking through links today, I happen to come across this page: http://www.famitsu.com/blog/tkool/.  In the newest post as of 3/14/2008, there's a link to a page that contains a VX Character Sprite Generator.  Seems it was based off of the XP generator from this site, or that's how I read it when put into a Babelfish translation.   


PLEASE NOTE:
You must click the download button right below the character preview, not right click and Save Picture As. Usually if it is working correctly, the default file name will be "image". If it is not, or if your picture does not load for you after saving, refresh the generator page, wait a minute, and try again. Remember, you must click the download button, and you must save as a PNG. Additionally, in order to use a single spritesheet instead of a collection of eight like the RTP, you must name your file with a "$" at the beginning of the file name.

Excellent find.

Although the resources for the generator seem a bit limited, we can still make some great sprites with this thing.

If you run the website in a translator, one of the yellow bulletins comes up as "Tiny KYARATSUKURU", the parts will be added from time to time to go to class though.  I believe every time they put up a new lesson, new parts will become available. Two such lessons are already done: recolors of sprites (2/27/08) and frankenspriting(3/13/08). So hopefully it'll become a little less limiting.

How did you translate that? I need it for a game im working on

Google's web page translator.  Just copy the url into translate a web page and select Japanese to English.

One more thing,how do you import these into the maker it says invalid size

When saving your character, type !$ in front of the file name.
Like so: "!$Character.png"

I just did $ and it worked for me.

If i save a male character my Computer canth open it. I have Windows Vista, but u tryd on a Windows XP Computer and he has the same problem
