I need help big time... I bought the serial number a while back for the game, and I have been using it with no problem.  I just bought a new computer with Vista, I downloaded the program, but when I start it, it automatically says "Failed to obtain a trial serial number from the nTitles server."    What should I do?  I heard on the internet Enterbrain doesn't want people to have access to the free trial anymore.  Is this true?  It shouldn't matter for me, because I bought the serial number - I still have it on paper!  I need RPGMXP urgently... I have a huge game in progress...

Try running as administrator, then try running as administrator under XP compatibility mode. (Properties > Compatibility)

I don't understand how to do that.  I am almost positive I am the administrator, but when I right-click the RPGMXP program, I see nothing about compatibility modes...    ???

Try right clicking the .exe, rather than a shortcut.

YES YES YES!!!   :D
That worked!  It took me to the Trial version dialog, where I typed in my serial number to get a new activation code.  I typed in the new code, and I am back in!  Thanks a lot, Irock!  I wonder why it had to be run that way?

Meh, Vista security problems. It only does it for some people, but not me.
