This isn't really a tutorial of how to do something... but I didn't know where else this would go

Alot of people forget about the music of the game. I am a musician so when I hear RTP midis on someones game I get annoyed as much as anyone would for anything else RTP.

Why is music important?
Without music the game would be empty. The music makes the player feel more involved with the game and if it is a good enough piece it can change the entire mood of the game.

Good examples of Music
Final Fantasy VII - Still More Fighting
Ok this song is just awesome! It really makes you feel like your up against a tough boss. I guess it could be classed as a Hard Rock song with the heavy guitars and drums. Make sure your boss music sounds like its actualy a boss battle. It would be stupid to have a forest theme tune playing during a big battle. (obvious but ive seen it happen)

What to use to make music?
Alot of people on here use Tabit. I haven't really used it myself but I think it's similar to guitar pro.

Guitar Pro
If you play guitar or can figure out notes when you type them in then this is for you. This is also one of the only MIDI
softwares that include drums. Takes a small time to get used to but once you have you can make great MIDI.

Powertab
This is probaly strictly for guitar players. Still it's free and quite easy to use.

If you have a long game it is good to have alot of MIDIS to choose from. So you don't keep on hearing the same music throughout the game that can get annoying. Also you may want to change the battle music during the game (Breath Of Fire I and II) to give it a fresh change and notify the player that they have got past a ceartain part of the game.

Hope this helped someone! Any questions post here or email me.
