Music won't work on RPG Maker 2003, help anyone?

Right I've been working on my project on RPG Maker 2003, and one day when I test played it, the music didn't work anymore.
I tried all the other RPG Maker 2003 games also and in none of them the musics worked. But the sound effects did.
In the other programs the music works, and the music files I used also work. I decided to re-install RPG Maker 2003 but still the problem stays.
So, does anyone know what is this about?

Click start, go to "Run..."
And type in:

sndvol32.exe

Your master volume should show up, from there, turn up/on the SW Synth.
That might fix it.

However, be wary, if this is the problem.
I believe restarting your computer or listening to a midi file outside of Rpg Maker will cause it to turn back down.

Thank-you so much for that!  I've been rattling away tryin' to find out why the music stopped....I listened to a file on media layer and it stopped working...
