I'm starting a debate chat room, since we finally have some people here who know what they're talking about most of the time. I registered the room, and everything is ready, except I need ideas for topics. Post your ideas, and the times + days that you're most likely to be able to attend, and I'll get a schedule started. Here are the rules:

1. Topics will be picked from the list by me, so if you don't like a topic, or particularly like one, PM me and I'll make the list accordingly.

2. Once the debate begins, each side will choose a representative to make an opening statement.

3. After opening statements, a queue will be started. Type "!" to add your name to the queue. You will be notified when it is your turn.

4. Anyone who cross-talks, or speaks while it is someone else's turn, will be banned from the room for the remainder of the current debate.

5. Comments must be respectful in regard of time.

6. Ad Hominem arguments will result in the cessation of your turn, and a 2 minute ban from the room.

7. After all persons in the queue are exhausted, each side will choose a representative for closing statements.

8. Following the chat, a log will be posted on RMRK, where people can read it and choose which side they believe to be the winner.

More guidelines will follow after a few debates take place. I'm a kinesthetic learner.

I hope people will be interested in this, because I am excited to get into things~

STICKYING NOW

I guess I should read it now, LOL

EDIT: OK read it, ha. I think it's an excellent idea. I wish I had more time to take part in this, but I may be able to join in every now and again. I'll say that weekends from 10 PM to 1 PM are good for me. That's central time, btw.

I can't exactly commit just yet, but just so you know.

I suppose I could help moderate the room if you want. I'm online most of the time.
