Does A key = A key on the keyboard?

This is confusing me. ;9
I make and event that goes something like this

conditional branch: If A key then say "hello"

when I test it, nothing happens when I push a. I tested it with up, down and lef/right, they all work. But when I set it to A it doesn't work. So I'm asking. When it says "A" does it mean some other key? Or is my copy of RMXP just being a little bitch.

Umm no. The way the events are set up is through buttons, not directly to the keys. If you press F1 while test playing, you will call a menu where you can set what keys correspond to which buttons.

You people are horny. From now on I'd like to be paid in cups of fresh virgin blood.
