    • Is there anyway to loop an animation as an event on the map and make it not freeze the game. i would like to use that method for cool looking save points but every time i tried the game would just freeze up with no error or anything.

    you make the event have a character set rite?
    then have each facing (up, down, etc...) and have a custom move route set to rotating in order.

    • If you want a single animated image (like the mutli-coloured crystals, or a burning fire, or smoke billowing out of a chimney) just staying on the same spot, in XP check the Stop Animation box under the image and it'll loop through its frames.  Not sure how it works in earlier versions.

    • Either try walking animation or Stop animation. One of the two. Remember to do "Fix direction" (I think) so that it doesn't change graphics.

    I'm trying to use a battle animation (IE: Magic Casting) not a character set but if i loop it it just freezes the game.

    Show Animation: Animation
    Wait: the necessary number of frames (find out by seeing how many frames are in the animation)
