um yeah now that you mentioned it it seems that way =) he looks rather familiar though 

do use a different color pallete on the hand lighten it up a bit so we could see, I know its preety hard to do black characer sprites but when you do the ready post that's the one that needs to be catchy and perfect for this is the only post that you could see for a long long duration of time

or if you dont want to change his color then do extend his elbow a bit =) then people will start to see the change

ok made some update]

what about now?

on that size its ok but when i zoom in the gloves arent perpendicular to the elbow and the hand on the front seems to be backside wards if that is what your trying to do. any way it looks good now =)

and besides it wouldnt show up in ccoas cbs any way so that would be good =) keep it up =)

still i cant shake off the fact that the attack pose realy seems familiar

There are some stray pixels around his waste... Very much like on your animated AVA... just tidy them up and then it's wicked...

Most noticeable is above the knee on the punching frames 1 & 2... Very hard to spot, I thought I had dust on my screen...LOL

Side note.
Watch your Ava's Feet, that sort of thing... And you see again about half way up your sprite there are pixels left and right that need rubbing out.

i use bruch so some times little pixel are around them 

and dollmage it should look familiar because the legs are from your ninja. But i edit a lot so... sorry i should have ask before...  the rest is done by me... well using white ties 

if you want i can remove it and make my one legs... i only used your's to save some time

and hope to see more of your sideview charas =) keep up the good work, and if you want more moves for your side view character try watching more Anime and ready a few mangas =) that's where i got my inspiration for making poses =)
