there's gonna be tiers for sure again. it's created by the smash community(aka us, let's say, but way bigger)

of course there's gonna be characters that are useless, that sucks, that are mid,that are good and that are the top.Maybe Sakurai's team are testing the game and try to make the characters even, which is highly possible. but then again, people will just do like in melee, which is finding new way of playing(or new techniques) that will totally change it(example)

Roy----Marth

Everyone, or almost everyone, Mained Roy once. Powerfull smash and stuff. the game was meant to be played ''normally''. but when some players found out about teching, grab chain, l cancell, wavedashing, tip of the sword(for marth), grab-jump(grabbing 2x faster than normally), it totally changed the way it's beeing played(the pro way, I mean) and Roy became a mid character, and Marth, top.

SSB was mostly balanced because it was way easier to combo. But it's not a big difference like in Melee with pichu aka joke character. To be honnest, I rather seeing a smash like 64 where characters are more balanced, no wavedash and all that crap(as long as they have z/l cancell though)
I read some thread from www.smashboards.com where people are like..

IMO, there's still gonna be tiers(classes if you prefer) like there's classes for everything in almost any games. Sakurai can't do shit about it, since tiers are created by the smash community, and not him

Street fighter = good and bad characters
Halo = good and bad weapons
racing games = good and bad cars

etc etc

There's gonna be a tier list by May. Tiers only means which character are good and which character are bad. It doesn't mean you can't play/win with a bad characters huh.

I played them both.  White pikmin are poisonous, and can see things underground (maybe see items from far away for olimar?)
Purple pikmin have the strength of 10 red pikmin, and they weight a lot, so when you throw them, they crush enemies.

The developpers are creating the characters. it ends there. they're not publishing a list of who is good, who is bad, who is the counter of who etc etc.

it's from smashboards to beggin with. there's votes and other stuff. tiers list has been created AND changed +5 time because of many factors, included jump grab,wavedash, pro using them and more. tiers are mostly results of pro tournaments.

What is it then? unless you know sakurai in person, how can you tell they're trying to remove tiers, when, to begin with, they have nothing to do with that, there's no smash DOJO updates where it says anything about it, and you haven't play it either?
