[RESOLVED] cant test play?

hey i am kinda new here and i got rpg maker xp except i cant test play it. it just opens and then disappears. I think i am missing some dlls or some other related files. Can someone tell me what i need to run rpg maker or how to fix this problem

if your wondering there is no error message that appears but i can do everthing else like import files. place tiles, save my game, put in events etc... does anyone know how to fix this problem its getting kind frustrating because i wont be able to test play my games to check for problems unless i send the file to my friends computer to test it on his but that would be annoying and boring so can anyone help me?

First thing I have to say is, try to restart your computer.

Doses it bring up an error? And try placing a starting point if there isn't one.
(Event layer and right click on a tile, set player starting position)

tried all. there is no error message like i wrote before but theres still problem

start new game, do not add anything to the game, and just try to test.

Welcome to the forums!
I would recommend saving your project folder somewhere safe and seperate, and then completely re-install RMXP (i.e uninstall it with the uninstall.exe file and then use the installation file again).
Unfortunately, I don't use RMXP so I wouldn't know if it was something to do with the game itself...

the way i fixed it will most likely not help anyone. the problem was my download manager. for some reson it just messed up the download.

so i just downloaded with out it and it worked.

...and i used a torrent to get it, so i don't think reinstalling will work?
