how do i make one event disappear forever?

wow do you make event disappear forver? usually if i use erase event  if i walk back into the room it appears again....how do i make it disappear forever?

dont put erase event on the first page, make a second page that has it with autostart on

In the trigger section in the event, switch from Action to auto start.

Also, for it to go to the second page, you must add a local switch A= On and on the second page make the precondition have Local Switch = On

sorry new to making games...where is the trigger section?

You only need to use the switch. If the last event page is an autorun event, it will prevent the player from moving until a) another switch has been turned on or b) the event has been erased.

Right, but you said to turn autorun on the second event page which is unnecessary, however in this particular case, it would not affect the outcome because cjk wants the event to disappear. However, if cjk wanted the second page to run event commands, using autorun will cause the event commands to continuously loop while freezing the character.

Yeah, bad chaosSpartan! It won't freeze the game, because autostarts only disallow movement when event commands are being run, and with no event commands being run, you can still move around. It's not harmful, but it is unnecessary. But, do everything else he said cjk and you'll be fine.
