Help! RPG Maker XP

I have no idea what to do at all! I've been on loads of differant sites but I don't know 1 single thing about RPG Maker XP and how it works!

It's not that I haven't tried and i'm quite stressed out about looking on the internet hours on end but I start up the program and I just have no idea what to do. I am so Confused and have no idea what any of the signs, pictures,objects.ect do

. If someone could help me with anything Please post it here.

P.S:If anyone wishes to they can call me a nOOb or otherwise they can because I don't really care anymore.

Start here. http://rmrk.net/index.php/board,8.0.html and look for tutorials. Or read the help file. It took me about an hour to figure it out.

Thanks but what I was looking for was sort of like an explanation of what each button does and that type of thing because i'm just sort of beggining this making stuff type of thing and I don't even know any of the basics (eg.: So-And-So tells me to do this be I don't yet know what will happen if I do this) plus i'm just getting really confused.
P.S: I've added many sites to my favourites but I have yet to read them I shall post again when I get a chance to read them.

I'm new and I wish to know how to put the characters in the game plz?

Put the character in the graphics->characters folder. Then in RMXP go to resource manager and find the character you put in. Click Import. And find the file. When the picture comes up click on the background (left and right click) to make it so the background is transparent. That should do it.

My final Question can people make someone appear just after someone dissapears (eg.person 1 dissapears, person 2, 3 and 4 appear)?

yes, it's called a switch. (the simplest way to do it I guess)

After the event the person dissapear's turn a switch on. Now on the other peopl's event's on the left side turn the switch box on.

make a blank event that will be the peson. then once the guy dies have a set move route for him and ghange his grahip to none, then set move route to the empty graphic and change it's graphic to what you want. now he will pop out of no where.

can't help it..

Switches can be used always and are used in your "order" so just if you want 1st page first to happen but appear next its a 2nd page..
Alot of things go with switches

Edit: Forget it. Once you get the Serial number then what do I do to show that I Bought it? Where do I enter it To get the activation Url and Code?
