Trying to install RPG Maker XP [Still not resolved... Stupid computer]

When I try to install RPG Maker XP (Not Postality Knights) I get this message when the install should be finished:

I installed RTP. And the thing you sent me gave me the exact same message.

It's not a problem with the software... Download the attachment from this post and add the file to the registry (just double click on it after you have downloaded and unzipped it), that might fix it.
If not, you need to check if you're an administrator on your PC. It might be that there is an access conflict.

I checked, I'm an administrator. And that fix thing isn't working either. This is REALLY weird.

Do I need to turn off any antispyware software? Configure settings? I'm sorry If I sound annoying, I just want it to work.

OH. I read something about a sound driver having to work. My sound driver is messed up at the moment. Could that be it? I hope not because I don't know how to fix a sound driver...

reinstall it. what brand? check their website.

Ah! I fixed the sound driver. But that obviously wasn't the problem because RPG Maker still wont work.

why not try using PK version of rmxp?
