Two simple questions...

First, how would i use local events (or any other means) to make it so that a character can only be talked to once, or say...will only give your party 1 free potion, instead of giving you a free one every time you ask? I dont want to make them dissapear, just maybe change what they say the second time you talk to them. Secondly, how would i make a special move that changes your character in battle from one form to another..like a werewolf form, trance, or super sayain, that would preferably stay for a set number of turns, but at the very least change your characters graphic temporarily, or for the rest of the battle. Anyways, thanks much for your time, and any help or tips would really be awesome! ^_^

1. Well, thats just it, i know i'm supposed to use switches, even to the extent that i know i should use a local event switch, i just dont know how to organize it between pages. I thought i had it down, but when i tested it, no luck. would you know the process?
2.Im using XP, yes. just switched over from 2003. This version is muuch better, though i do miss the side view battles. XP

I try to use the standard switches myself (local events just don't like me)

but yeah switches none the less. I have an option with chests. That normally has two pages, on the first it gives an item and switches a switch, on the second because that switch is on, it erases the event permanently.

Go to "Swich Operations" make a new swich. Turn it on after you get the potion. Make a new page. In conditions make "Swich (your swich here) on. tah dah.

Thanks! After using your suggestions, ive got Conversations and Switches down to a science. ^_^ ( for now..;_; ) But the "werewolf" link isnt quite what i was looking for. I need something that will change the battler sprites of friendly characters IN BATTLE. Thanks for the help, though! Anyone else have a idea how to do it?

Well, if your trying to do it through a skill like that, make it use a common event. Go to the common events tab and make an event that does what you want. Then, make a skill that calls that event in battle.
