Hi people,

I have noticed many people in need of Pirate sets... I need them in my game to, so I have started work on some with mercenarygirls help.

I can't draw people in the RTP style, so she has been kind enough to help me, so when you see her about please +REP her for her help.

mercenarygirls - has been sending outlines via PM, I then colour them and make a sprite set.

Very nice, except for that first battler. Too many white pixels. I also think people need males rather then females, at least if they make a pirate game.

I am working on a few more yet... Captains and Deck hands...

Humm... The Pirate man you sent me could class as a Deck hand...

I have been trying to draw in the RTP standard way... But I am still struggling... Here's some of my attempts.

The battler look great !
But, the Demon Form One sprite is missing the horns?

So he is... I will have to fix that !!!

Updated... Peg Leg Captain Made !!

Made a 2nd version of the battler for the First Pirate lad... Bright skin tone and less white pixels.

The new peg legged captain, is just awesome. Great job both of you.

LoS, you have noticed that the demon form 1 sprite is missing horns?

The first pirate looks allright, but not great. The lines are more wonky than any other.
2nd pirate looks great! Hair is a bit long but otherwise great!
That captain... Is incredible! Its perfect, but theres always room for improvement. XD

mercenarygirls has done a great job in creating great outlines for me to work with... When you see all of them next to one another in a battle against you they look brilliant... I have done one sprite and one battler per lunch hour while at work... I am eating my lunch while doing them, so I agree they could be better, but in the same breath I like them as they are and they suite the RPG style and feel.

oh that means you only have one outline left and it's kinda like the other one i better do up some today!


Oh and since i saw you where using them for facesets up there... I could actually give you some outlines. The frist pirate there is actually one of the characters from my game so i could give you him right away. i just have to find the outlines, uncolored. hehehe

For Face sets I am using cropped battlers, I wouldn't worry about the faces.

As for Outlines for Battlers if you can send them as Photoshop files as you did last time, just send me what ever you want, doesn't have to be pirates, I love working on your RTP style stuff... The more I make the better my addon pack will be...

(You will get full credit for your help as and when I release the next version, I also plan to put them on my WEB site www.xprk.0catch.com and I will credit yo there too, I will update the WEB site around Mid Oct)

Do a few you would like... It's only fair I help you expand your game as you have helped mine.

Shouldn't you give credit to the guy who originally made the giant over world kit? (The boat recolor, resizes and edits...)

I really really love the pirate buy!

TheInquisitor, on his home page states he wants no credits...

And those ships are part of his tile set... I have ripped them and made them into Character sets... Recoloured them etc...

Nice, I like these.

These are bland and tasteless... NOT! these are GREAT!  Could I use that shark for my game?
