Okay so these are some of the poems I wrote in my last year of high school. I really wanted to fill up a spiral by the end of the year and I did. These are only some of them.

Dreams Within Dreams

Exhaustion is overwhelming
You keep running but you get nowhere
The light at the end of the tunnel is dimming
As you reach it, it sputters out
Where do you go from here?
You've forgotten me along with all the others
Not a single memory remains
Lost in the subconscious Labyrinth of time
You go back the way you came
But nothing similar remains
You can almost remember
But like the light it goes out
This is when the tears begin to fall
In myself hatred is growing
Hatred for your abandonment
Hatred that you can't remember me
Hatred that I didn't go with you
All the while the life in us perishes
All the others have been found
So then, why do we remain?
Lost in darkness forever
We search for the secrets of our past
We lay our bodies on cold stones
Trying so hard to remember
The revelation begins to come
As the memories flood your eyes
My brain empties into the river
And as you search for me, hoping I'll remember
I will head towards the dimming light
Forever lost, dreaming within Dreams

The Forgotten

Day after day
Souls are tossed away
They lay forgotten and decayed
Their journey to peace delayed
Those who live don't care
Except the few who dare
Death has come to the land
The world is suffocated by it's hand
As more souls are tossed aside
We forget those who have died
Do they hold any meaning?
The time to decide is weaning
It appears the answer is no
Now then, where do they go?
Trapped in time, trapped in space
Forgotten by us, the human race

A World Infected

Walk a long an infected road
The decaying fruits of bounty
Sits upon an oozing tree
Left for skeletal birds of call
The bleeding roads and paths untouched
Cry out with muted anger
The puss that seeps from the skin
Mixes with the spit of apathy
The foul substance rolls down a cliff
Spilling to make a water fall
The diseased creatures drink the mix
Filling their bloated stomachs
Walk along an infected road
And see the world as is

Mother Earth

Mirrors cracked an covered with grime
Rooms suffocated with blinding lights
Showing every blemish and every sin
When man decides to leave his mark
It is but a jagged scar upon the planet
The advancement of mankind kills the Earth
Knowledge is but a poison to nature
The cracking glass, the blinding lights
All are of man's creation
Man does not create
Man simply destroys what was already here
The Earth bleeds in silence
As the germ called Man infests her body
Ravaging her body for sustenance
Her innocence taken
Her body scarred from years of abuse
They fester and grow, never quite healing
These scars are filled with the bacteria
They spew forth from the cavaties
Only to create another
We move across her body
Nicking and tearing at out Mother Earth
And our Father thinks to himself,
"What have I wrought upon the world?"

Okay thats it for now. I know they are all sad but that is what I do.  ;)
What do you think?

It's a good year when you win an award and give a name to a beer. But you have to make up a sex position to complete it. That would be the Bullwinkle.

It's okay that they're all sad, I like sad stuff.

You're really good with imagery. I like these a lot. I hear music in my head when I read them, so that's pretty cool. I wish there were more I could say, but I'm not good with talking about this stuff. :p

Okay, sad stuff ain't my style, but I did really like these. ;)

Dreams Within Dreams. This one has a similar title to an Edgar Allen Poe piece, right? :P Illumination (I believe) used it for GIAW 9. Either way, I liked that one a lot.

The Forgotten. I'd have to say my ultimate favorite was the "The Forgotten". Not only did it Rhyme (my simple brain adores rhymes), but it was the easiest for me to relate to. I could follow along with it, and connect emotionally to it.

A World Infected kinda disgusted me at times, which I think was the goal of it, right? :) That's why it talked about icky stuff like pus and spit. D: What I got from it was the world is destroyed or infected and everything is all creepy. :o I think? It reminded me of the cleaning I did today. ;) Hahaha Also,
Spoiler for:
The puss that seeps from the skin

Hurr hurr... this typpo is unlocking my immature side. :P

Mother Earth. I had trouble connecting to this last one. It was well written, like the others, but it differs from my views. I have a love for people and animals, and I felt like it had a bitter tone towards people in general. :( Either way, I saw it's point quite well, and it offers a great view. Not entirely one I agree with, but I like hearing both sides. :)

Really liked these, even if I didn't agree with all of them. :) You should write/add more sometime. ;)

Those were a lot better than the crap I tried to write in high school (which isn't saying much, but still, great job!)

Thanks! I'm just glad that I now have a place to come and share my stuff. I would rather write for an audience then just for myself. It gets lonely sometimes...  ;9
