My laptop's screen just started going crazy. I was able to "fix" it for now, but I have no idea how long it will last. I need to bring it to a service tomorrow, before it gets broken completely. As I don't know how long the repair could take, don't be surprised when I suddenly stop posting for a few days. =/

This is one of those things that prevents me from buying a laptop (aside from the money I don't have to buy one >.<). The exact same thing happened to my friend Keith's laptop. The screens on some of these blasted things seem so damn unreliable.

I can give you only one advise... well, actually 2...

1) If you don't really need a laptop, don't buy it, lol!

2) Never and I MEAN NEVER buy a laptop from HP.

and hp/compaq are the same company now, so don't be fooled.

EDIT: Shit. Ok, the laptop's gone. I'm posting from a friend's now. I will know at Wednesday if it can be fixed or if I have to pay more than 500$ (what I won't do...) to get a completely new display as HP doesn't sell parts for their displays separately.

EDIT: Shit. >.< It would cost more than 800$ to repair it or about 600$ to get the reserve part. I can only hope somebody else can fix it for less money or I'll have to buy a new one. $:-\$
